I have wanted to try out this place since I arrived in Manila. I came here for lunch, and I've heard so many great things about this restaurant, and I just had to try it! The ambiance is excellent, with plenty of guests who are here for meetings (for some reason, lol) My friend and I ordered a few dishes and thoroughly enjoyed them. Food coma after a few bites! I recommend this place as a cute date spot for those looking for a nice ambiance with great food and services.

Good place to eat local comfort Filipino food. The garlic rice servings are very generous but a bit more expensive than usual. Recommend the beef bulalo soup, very tasty.

Great place for family gatherings to enjoy local comfort dishes. 😋 Baby squid and Kare kare was the best for me. 😋 Skip the shrimp gambas, not fresh and overcooked.

Lovely ambience and the staff service was superb. They were quite attentive and efficient. Portion sizes of food were good for two. The binakol chicken was delicious, I cannot get enough of the soup. We also liked the baby squid in olive oil. We had turon with ice cream and coffee after. The whole dining experience was great.

The Romulo Cafe may have been sitting along the busy street in the down town side of Makati business Center for quite some time for good reason. They have been serving popular Filipino dishes that have been a talk of the town. Curious I have become for many years until I got the chance to try it out. It was a quiet Sunday morning when I got to the place. Parking can be challenging along the street right in front of the establishment. Watch out for the stairs as some tiles were broken. The building needs renovation. There were no customers at that time because the whole place only accepts reservations for private events. It was my uncle's birthday and the whole clan was invited. The function room was able to accommodate 40 people. The food setup was nice. They served buffet and the food was great! The servers were quick and friendly.

The overall quality of the food is superb and far better than some restos at Greenbelt with similarly priced menu. If you want to introduce your foreign friends to Filipino food, Romulo Café won't let you down.
